Hemp :- Hemp is an excellent source of protein – it’s profile is similar to that of an egg and it contains all of the essential amino acids and and also all essential healthy fats – Omega-3 and Omega-6 in a healthy 3-1 ratio. It is also easily digestible and is packed with vitamins and minerals including potassium, calcium, iron, manganese and zinc.  Hemp is naturally dairy-free and gluten-free and contains plenty of dietary fibre.

Acai berry :– Acai berries are classed as a superfruit due to the wide range of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and antioxidants they contain. They can support the immune system, the heart and cholesterol levels. They are anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. Acai Berries also contain protein which helps to boost energy levels and support weight loss. The sugars in the berries are released slowly so they are able to help keep blood sugar levels stable.

Acerola cherry :- super fruits with an exceptionally high vitamin C ( one of top 2 berries in the world for vitamin C content ) along with an impressive array of nutrients and antioxidants.

Alfalfa :-  This sprout contains 8 essential enzymes along with many vitamins and minerals including pro-vitamin A (B-carotene), B6, D, E, K and P. It is rich in chlorophyll and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and zinc. It also contains all 8 essential amino acids.

Beetroot :- Beetroot is rich in carbohydrates and proteins. It is also a great source of  antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, folic acid and iron.

Beetroot has shown in studies to be able to lower cholesterol. It has also been shown to lower blood pressure due to its high content of dietary nitrate which produces a gas called nitric acid in the blood – this gas helps to widen blood vessels and lower blood pressure. Dietary nitrate can also help to increase stamina – studies have shown the positive effects of beetroot on exercise performance and muscle growth.

Blackcurrants :- these super fruits a very high in vitamin C and antioxidants.  They also provide a good supply of calcium, potassium, iron, phytonutrients and vitamin E.

Celery seed :-  Celery is a great source of vitamin C, fibre, folic acid, potassium , calcium and vitamins B1,B2 and B6. Celery extract can help with rheumatism and muscular aches and pains. It helps with detoxification as it is a great natural diuretic.

Chlorella :- A powerful superfood which acts as a detoxifier in the body. It has been proven to bind to heavy metals and pesticides and help to excrete them from the body. 1 banana (ideally frozen)
2 cups (chocolate) almond milk – the chocolate flavour works well with hemp
1 scoop Hemp Protein Complex

Whizz all ingredients together in a NutriBullet or blender.

Chocolate Hemp Berry Breakfast Smoothie (dairy-free)
1/2 cup oats
1 cup frozen berries
2 cups (chocolate) almond milk
1 scoop Hemp Protein Complex
1 tbsp ground flax seed
1-2 tsp pure maple syrup (if required) to sweeten

Whizz all ingredients together in a NutriBullet or blender.

Hemp Protein Energy Bars

2 cups oats (gluten free if necessary)
1/2 cup chopped cashew nuts
1/2 cup mixed seeds e.g pumpkin, sunflower, linseed
1 scoop Hemp protein complex powder
1 cup dates
1/2 cup coconut oil
2 tbsp cashew butter
1 tbsp pure maple syrup or raw honey to taste.

Melt the coconut oil. Chop the dates in a food processor. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
Add the coconut oil and dates to the dry mixture and sweeten with maple syrup or honey to taste. Transfer the mixture to a container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This recipe is gluten and dairy free. Keep refrigerated.

Omega-3 Hemp Brownies

1 scoop Hemp protein complex powder
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp ground flaxseed
2 cups dates
1-2 tbsp pure maple syrup to sweeten if required (optional)
Chop up the dates in a food processor. Add a small amount of water to the mixture to make a paste, add in the dry ingredients and mix to a dough. Transfer mixture into a suitable container and chill for at least 1 hour. Gluten and dairy free.
